Lily (she/her/hers) is a junior studying Chemical Engineering from Vienna, VA. She is interested in pharmaceutical research and healthcare inequities. Lily is also on the advocacy committee for SWE and is involved in research at Penn Medicine. In her free time, she likes weightlifting and exploring the Philly restaurant scene.
McKenzie Davis

McKenzie Davis (she/her/hers) is a junior from Bethesda, Maryland studying Bioengineering. Outside of USABE, McKenzie is also Vice President of Outreach for the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) and a tutor. In her free time, McKenzie enjoys spending time with friends, exploring Philadelphia, baking, cooking Belizean food, listening to music, and playing piano and violin. McKenzie is passionate about learning new things, education equity, and helping those around her, and she’s thrilled to be a part of USABE this year!
Darian Parks

Darian Parks (he/him/his) is a junior from West Hempstead, NY, studying computer science. He enjoys playing and modding video games, basketball, and listening to new music. His favorite movie is Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and favorite band is Crush 40. A fun fact about him is that he was the first recipient of a scholarship at his high school created by General Peter Pace, who once served under President Bush.

Alfredo Velazquez Vazquez (he/him/his), is from Fort Worth, Texas. He is a sophomore studying bioengineering where he hope to integrate engineering principles with biological concepts to create innovations that are useful to society. He enjoys listening to various types of music, and watching K-dramas in his spare time.
Clara Baurmeister

Clara Baurmeister (she/her/hers) is a junior from Darien, Connecticut studying Chemical Engineering, as well as Art History. She is interested in pursuing a career in cosmetic product development and hopes to combine her technical skills with her artistic passions. In addition to USABE, Clara writes for The WALK website and is a member of the DEIAB board of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. In her free time, Clara loves to thrift clothing, bake, and explore Philly's music scene.
Erica Santos

Erica Santos (she/her/hers) is a Robotics Master’s student from Grand Rapids, MI. She graduated in May 2023 from the University of Michigan with her Mechanical Engineering BSE. She hopes to specialize in robotics in space, and is currently working under Dr. Mark Yim on a collaborative multi-robot lunar exploration research project. Outside of school, she is a competitive ballroom dancer and avid book worm.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, traveling, and being active. Demi is passionate about helping others and is excited to do so through USABE!
Ricky Wang-Polendo

Ricardo Wang-Polendo (he/him) is a current VIPER freshman from Roseville, Minnesota studying Bioengineering and Biology. He loves to play Ultimate Frisbee during the summer and go skiing in the winter. He played the piano for almost 14 years, and loves any chance to play the piano. An interesting fact about Ricky is that for his school's 9/11 history project, he managed to track down an FBI agent and hear his personal story of 9/11 and the case he took on to take down further hijackers.

Paree Pasi (she/her/hers) is a freshman studying Bioengineering and Economics from Doylestown, PA. She is involved with Wharton Finance and Consulting Club, serves as Senior Deputy for DEI in Penn Dems, and is a member of the Chi Omega sorority on campus. She is passionate about social justice work and currently working for the PA Governor on a Next Generation Commission. She is excited about being a new member of USABE and getting to improve the engineering community!
